Tyler Naugler - Assistant Coach St. Mary's University Men's Hockey Team

Tyler has past experience as the President and Director of Hockey Operations of the Halifax Lions Hockey Club (MHL).  He had moved into that position after one season as the Lions head coach and general manager. Naugler had joined the Lions after serving for three successful seasons as head coach of the South Shore Mustangs of the Nova Scotia Major Midget AAA Hockey League. His work with the Mustangs led to coach Naugler being named the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League coach of the year in 2006.

A Bridgewater native, Tyler is a former MJAHL player, having skated for three seasons with the Cole Harbour Scotia Colts, where his teammates included present day NHL'ers Aaron Downey of the Detroit Red Wings and Eric Boulton of the Atlanta Thrashers. After his junior career ended, Naugler played three seasons with the Dalhousie Tigers of the AUS, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Recreation degree.

Tyler came up through the Bridgewater minor hockey system alongside NHL star and fellow Bridgewater native Glenn Murray. His playing days behind him, Tyler immediately jumped into the coaching ranks, serving as an assistant coach with the Saint Mary's Huskies, for seven highly successful seasons. During this time, the Huskies re-established themselves as a force on the national collegiate scene, and Tyler gained invaluable knowledge under the tutelage of former two-time CIS Coach of the Year Trevor Stienburg. This past season saw the Saint Mary's Huskies capture the 2016 CIS University bronze medal to go along with their gold medal winning perfomance in 2010

Aside from coaching, Tyler also played a pivotal role in youth hockey development through his work with the Saint Mary's Camp of Champions, where he served as Director of the Camp of Champions Hockey School, as well as his role as the Lead Instructor and Director of Player Development with the NS Propects.
